What you should know about Fountain Vineyard

Fountain in Port Elizabeth, Fire Equipment in Port Elizabeth, Book Store in Port Elizabeth, Vineyards in Port Elizabeth

We love to celebrate God, relate to each other, equip and release people to 'do the stuff' of Jesus. He has fired up within us a passion for worship, community, and ministries.

In December of the same year we took on the name of Fountain of Life Community Church. This expressed our commitment to an outward mission, or church planting thrust, as well as our interdependence within the wider Body of Christ; we are now full participants in the 'Association of Vineyard Churches'. We later changed to Fountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship in order to distinguish ourselves from other Vineyard churches in the Port Elizabeth region. We feel called by God to be a resource church, which facilitates church planting, missions, equipping and training. He has fired up within us a passion for worship, community, and ministries. We love to celebrate God, relate to each other, equip and release people to 'do the stuff' of Jesus. We want to be a church where every member can walk in the calling of God for his/her life. The Bible is taught as the word with an application for daily living. There is evidence of ministry to the poor, broken, divorced etc. There are small groups with dynamics of accountability, ministry and discipleship. There is effective ongoing training and discipleship of people. There is good meaningful worship expressed in contemporary music and prayer. There is commitment to, and involvement in, missions, both foreign and domestic. Fountain Vineyard is actively involved in the Great Commission. We have been involved in church planting in Mozambique and Malawi since We send teams to these Churches once or twice a year. It is an awesome privilege to be involved in growing these churches and seeing them mature. The saying goes that people might join a church because of what it can do for them, but they generally stay in a church because they feel they have something to offer in return. This simply refers to our need to be accepted for who we are, minus any bells and whistles. We need to know that we are valued as people over and above what we can offer others on an emotional, spiritual or financially level.
