Since 1980, Lambson’s Hire has been the preferred supplier of rental equipment to the building, construction, DIY and maintenance markets nationwide. Having seen the hire market in Australia through connections such as Coates Hire and Kennard’s Hire, he saw a need in the South African market and has continued to service that need for the past 35 years. To supply a superior level of rental service providing profitable and sustainable growth for all our CUSTOMERS, staff and suppliers. We see ourselves as preferred suppliers of rental equipment to the building, construction, DIY and maintenance markets nationwide. Our motivation is the RENTAL of equipment that will fit on or behind one-ton utility vehicles. Our focus is to lead the market with innovative rental solutions. Our quest is to offer a consumable product range that compliments and supplements our rental fleet. We will clearly identify, understand and anticipate our CUSTOMER needs, which we will put first and provide rental solutions that will exceed their expectations. Our growth will be driven by CUSTOMER demand, innovative equipment development and greater geographical saturation but always with a focus on supplying an effective and profitable solution and a service of superior value to our CUSTOMERS. The company currently has sixteen Branches and two Specialist Divisions, namely, Compact Plant and Concrete Surface Preparation. Rohan remains actively involved in the business and in 2012 proudly appointed Devin van Zyl as CEO. He was appointed Operations Director in 2008 and Managing Director in Lambson’s Hire was founded on the concept that the hire industry is there to provide the right machine for the job. This alleviates the burden and cost of owning and maintaining equipment whether the hirer is DIY/Bakkie Builder or larger Construction Company. The basis of equipment available has always been on the principle that if it can be carried on a one ton bakkie Lambson’s will stock it. This has further expanded and the product envelope has grown in capacity to now also having to be towed or transported by truck. A centralised workshops consisting of a team of trained and experienced mechanics ensure all equipment is correctly serviced and maintained with full service history records in order to keep up high standards of quality and reliability. The company has an integrated and well networked software programme which enables clients to hire from and return to any branch. Lambson’s Hire has strong roots in the South African market and will continue to be a reputable member of the economy. The needs and requirements of the industry continue to be top priority and superior customer service remains the cornerstone of the company.
