Joshua’s Final Challenge Joshua was a wise old leader getting ready to die, but before he did, he had few things on his heart to share with the people of Israel. At the heart of our belief in the sovereignty of God is the understanding that God is in control of all that he has created in heaven and on earth. Most of us at some stage in our lives have been recipients of kindness. We know how it changed our day and outlook on life. When we have received kindness we feel different, our hearts are warmed and we experience new hope because someone took the time to reach out to us. Before you experienced relational harmony or relational misery God knew you. Before you became anybody significant or insignificant God knew your story. Before you woke up this morning and had your first cup of coffee (who can survive without one), God was watching over you, anticipating walking with you into this day. Now you might think that’s a little over the top particularly if you don’t like travelling to the less accessible parts of the globe. Interestingly Jeremiah stayed in Jerusalem most of his life only being deported down to Egypt against his will in his later years. He wrote ten oracles (prophetic letters) to ten nations. You can connect with people around the world through your cell phone, laptop, tablet, etc. For sure all technology can be used for evil, but you can be an instrument in God’s Hand for good, a Kingdom Communicator. You chose Israel and Jeremiah to influence the nations.
