The purpose of this programme is to enable learners to apply health and safety legislation in the form of standards and procedures governing health and safety in the workplace, to ensure that they contribute to a safe, healthy environment for themselves and others. A brief incident report is written and delivered to the relevant authority. Practical: As part of the Learners Assessments, learners must compile a Safety Plan. Use communication skills to handle and resolve conflict in the workplace. To create a general understanding of time-management, and be able to prioritize activities in the environment. Staff will also be able to manage their work-time effectively. The different concepts used in the external environment to measure time are listed. The concept time-management is explained in the learner’s own words. The importance of time-management in the work environment is debated. Describe the difference between urgent and important and prioritize daily activities. Typical daily activities in the workplace are listed and ranked according to urgency and importance. The listed activities are used to plan a typical day in industry.
